Congress hotel in central Slovakia - location is not everything

In my last article, I focused on the specific location of the High Tatras and how location can influence the interest of companies. For congress hotels, location is one of the main motives that influence the decision making of companies. That's why I decided to "interview" Martina Beňová, Sales Director of one of the most strategically attractive hotels in Slovakia.

A hotel in central Slovakia, with an ideal location, just a few kilometres from the R1 motorway exit. I am referring to the SITNO hotel in Vyhny. Let's take a look at the advantages and specifics of this hotel.

Mata, you started as a receptionist at the Sitno Hotel, today you are the Sales Director. How do you perceive your hotel?

I have been working in the hotel for the 6th year. I have worked my way through several positions from reception to the sales department. So Sitno is kind of my heartland. I dare to say that professionally it has literally brought me up. Simply HOTEL SITNO has been such a "top" hotel in my eyes since the beginning. And I'm not just saying that because I work there ?. I was also there at the time of a major renovation of the premises, which was directly linked to the expanded range of services for families and businesses. So I can compare what was done before and what is done now. I like the innovative approach of the company's direction and the constant innovation we can offer clients.

It is said that congress hotels in central Slovakia are the most sought after. How do you perceive this, do you have a competitive advantage in this?

We have been waiting for new acquisitions and a bit of a re-launch among the corporate clientele. We created a new portfolio of services and expanded our offer to include turnkey events.

The location of the hotel is certainly important, but it's far from everything at the moment. The competition is not sleeping, new, modern and beautiful hotels are being added all the time. Accessibility from Bratislava in a pleasant 1.5 hours certainly helps us, for those in a hurry on the motorway even earlier ????

Note: in Bzenica I definitely recommend to slow down, they tend to measure there probably just our morning ones who are in a hurry for a training or a meeting. But to get back to the question. I think it's mainly about service and making the client want to come back, and then the location doesn't play such a big role.

You mentioned the innovative approach, how does that translate into hotel services?

Our hotel hosts regular training sessions, smaller and larger conferences, multi-day camps or all-day teambuilding events. The innovative approach is that we want to give the client a solution for everything and especially the so-called "in house" through our people. Such a solution that will be the least burden on the client, regardless of whether they come as an agency or as an organizer. I.e. all requirements and details are solved directly with us and our people. Thus, we minimize the possibility of misunderstandings in communication through several people and we give the client a guarantee of a smooth running of the event with us. We have expanded our hotel facilities to include complete event services. We also have creatives in our team, we have our own database of trained collaborators in animation and hostessing. We have our own presenters and other artists, so we can offer our client a solution for almost everything. That's why we like to say that with us it doesn't end with renting the space.

Sounds like a lot of people working under your name, how do you ensure quality?

It's not a simple process at all and we can provide this comprehensive service because we are part of the Trinity Hotels & Resorts network. We are three hotels in Slovakia that work together with the same . Thanks to this, we can have the aforementioned professionals in our team, which we would not be able to secure as a separate hotel. Actually, we could, but the resulting price and availability for the client would be somewhere else entirely. We thus have a competitive advantage which the client will appreciate and which will make it easier for us to work at a high level.


In our blog I have already dedicated space to both Senec Hotel and Atrium Hotel, how do you perceive the mutual cooperation within Trinity?

Trinity Hotels unites us mainly in the quality of service and benefits for the client. The biggest advantage is the joint bonus fulfillment. For a client who comes to us regularly and wants to change location, we can offer one of the three locations of our hotels. He stays in the network and draws benefits as if he were with us. As far as cooperation is concerned, we know our colleagues from other hotels, we spend meetings together but also creative workshops. We help each other as if we were working for their hotel at the same time. Often a client is surprised when he says that he wants to move the event to the west this year and we at Sitno say, "OK, in that case we can check the date at the Senec Hotel". These situations also arise and we try to solve them for the client so that he feels maximum comfort.

Finally, a cliché question, but certainly an important one, what new things can we look forward to in Sitno?

In terms of services, we will now be releasing a new event catalogue in the autumn with a range of themed parties, corporate parties and team building events. The autumn months will also be marked by the renovation of our popular Christmas party venues. Our Á la carte restaurant will get a new facelift, as well as a bowling bar with a lounge, which will expand our capacity. We will also be upgrading the technical equipment in all areas such as data projectors and the like.
